The reference point for this certification program is the harmonized standard EN 13432:2000. Every product bearing the OK compost INDUSTRIAL logo complies with the requirements of the EU Packaging Directive (94/62/EC). All products are certified for direct contact with food and comply with the strict EU standard DIN EN 13432. TÜV Austria (formerly the Belgian testing institute Vinçotte) is a certification body approved by European Biolplastics and is allowed to award the Seedling logo to products that comply with EN 13432. With the award of the OK compost INDUSTRIAL and Seedling logos, TÜV AUSTRIA certificate holders' products are recognized throughout the European market.
